No More Injections

Mark has had six rounds of injections of chemo-therapy into each eye, and an expectation of getting them every month throughout 2010. However, the GOOD NEWS today from Dr. Lo (the eye guy) is that the radiation Mark is getting to the eyes makes the injections no longer necessary. That's better than a poke in the eye! Mark will see Dr. Lo again in 3 months.

Also, the cherry walnut scone this morning at Coffeehouse Five was terrific. And it was sunny outside! Altogether, a good day.

  1. Thanks for including us in the blog list. I haven't wanted to bother you, but have been thinking about you both and wanting to know how you are doing. This way we really can be "with" you every step of the way. And if you ever need another human voice, we are only a phone call away. Love, Karen

  2. What a wonderful way to be connected to you while you both go through this exhaustive journey. Sounds like you have an amazing team. Know that when you are ready... the ocean and salt air and the comforts of Chez Nicoll in the Hamptons await you. Love, Helen

ps Does your sampling of cafes mean that you like coffee or is it just the scones?

  3. You two are amazing! I think of you every day, heading away from the hospital on your way to the day's new coffee spot. Perhaps, in the spirit of solidarity and all that, the rest of us should start such routines in our respective home towns. Think of the healing power of all those fruity scones!

By the way, I just ordered "Rivers and Tides" from our local library. Pete and I are looking forward to watching it.

Much love to you both, Ann

  4. Glad you stopped at Coffeehouse 5 since it's such a boost for me in the mornings before work. New place opening across from Random Order this week (the 22nd); owner has a great place in the Pearl already. March will truly be a month of regeneration. much love, susan
